LunarPal ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile and web applications. LunarPal is a one-time purchase app ($2.99) with no subscription or recurring fees.

- App Data: Moon phase preferences, saved calculations, and display settings
- Birth Data (Optional): Date and time of birth for Birth Moon chart (stored locally only)
- Email (Optional): Email address if you subscribe to our newsletter
- Contact Information: Name and email when you contact support
Automatically Collected Data
- Device Information: Operating system, browser type, device model (for bug fixes)
- Usage Statistics: App features used and crash reports (anonymous)
2. How We Store Your Data
Local Storage Only: All your moon data, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device using localStorage (mobile) or browser storage (web). We do not store this data on our servers.
This means:
- ✅ All astronomy calculations happen on your device
- ✅ We cannot access your moon tracking data
- ✅ App works entirely offline
- ⚠️ Preferences are tied to your device — clearing app data removes preferences
3. How We Use Your Information
We use information only for:
- Providing core app functionality (moon phase calculations, zodiac positions, lunar aspects)
- Improving app performance and fixing bugs
- Responding to your support requests
- Understanding app performance and usage patterns (anonymized)
We do NOT:
- ❌ Sell your data to third parties
- ❌ Display advertisements
- ❌ Track you across websites or apps
- ❌ Require account creation or login
4. Third-Party Services
Email Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email is sent to our newsletter service via AWS API Gateway. We store your email securely and use it only for app updates and lunar insights. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Contact Form

Analytics (Optional)
We may use privacy-focused analytics (e.g., Plausible) for anonymous usage stats. No cookies, no personal data, no cross-site tracking.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We do not use cookies for tracking.
We use essential browser storage (localStorage, IndexedDB) to save your preferences and display settings. This is local storage for app functionality — not tracking.

7. Children's Privacy
LunarPal is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided personal information through the contact form, please email lunarpal@ldcoda.com.
